Sinan County in South Jeolla Province is attracting tourists by hosting the first "Jeollanam-do Premium Tourist Destination Dikashi Exhibition," which emotionally captures the four seasons and major tourist attractions of the province.
Sinan County announced that from the 12th to the 23rd, it will exhibit about 60 winning entries from the Dikashi Contest at the Yellow Sea Exchange Museum. "Dikashi" is a literary genre that combines a short poem, expressing a fleeting sensation, with a single photograph, reinterpreting the image's message in a literary way.
This exhibition features a variety of works set against the natural landscapes and cultural heritage of 22 cities and counties in South Jeolla Province. Sinan County is exhibiting two winning entries: "Imjado Croaker Statue" by guide Choi Kang and "Cheonsadaegyo Bridge" by guide Jeong Haengyeong. These two works symbolically capture the identity and vitality of the island, drawing the attention of visitors.
The exhibition is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The county plans to provide cultural tourism guides to help visitors gain a deeper understanding of the works, offering explanations and a connected commentary program that leads to other tourist destinations in Sinan.
A Sinan County official stated, "This achievement is thanks to the dedication of our cultural tourism guides, who have worked with a sense of mission even in the limited environment of the islands," adding, "We hope this exhibition, which showcases Jeollanam-do’s premium tourist destinations through the eyes of the guides, will provide visitors with an emotionally rich experience of the beauty of the southern region."
