Yeosu City to Process In-Person Real Estate Contract and Transaction Reports 'Without Jurisdictional Boundaries'

Yeosu City in South Jeolla Province announced that starting from November 17, it will improve its work process so that in-person submissions of real estate transaction contract reports can be received and processed without regard to jurisdictional boundaries.

Previously, the verification and management of real estate sales contracts and the reporting of actual real estate transactions were handled separately by the Civil Complaints and Cadastral Division and the Jungbu Civil Complaints Branch Office, depending on the jurisdiction. This caused ongoing inconvenience for citizens, who were confused about which department to visit or had to travel between the two offices.

This improvement aligns with the integration of Yeosu Registry Office and Yeocheon Registry Office, which as of November 3 have consolidated their registration work at the new Ungcheon-dong government office. In response, the city plans to also integrate the in-person submission system for the verification and management of real estate sales contracts and actual transaction reports, greatly enhancing convenience for citizens.

With this measure, in-person reports can now be received and processed at either office, regardless of jurisdiction. However, for online reports, cancellation or correction reports, reports related to pre-sale rights or resale, and actual transaction reports within land transaction permit zones, the current jurisdictional boundaries will continue to apply.

A Yeosu City official stated, "We expect that processing real estate transaction contract reports without jurisdictional divisions will significantly reduce inconvenience for citizens," adding, "We will continue to improve the actual real estate transaction process to establish a sound order in real estate transactions and maximize citizen satisfaction."
