According to the county, this championship, organized by the Korea Equestrian Federation, features a total of 11 official events, including five dressage classes (A, B, C, D, and S-1 Class) and six show jumping classes (100, 110, 120, 130, 140, and 150 Class). Approximately 160 athletes, including those in the general and youth divisions, will participate.
Dressage competitions will be held from today through the 13th, while show jumping events will take place from the 17th to the 19th.
This championship is an official event that awards points for the selection of next year's national team, reserve team, youth, and junior representatives, and is expected to be more fiercely competitive than ever.
This year, the county has hosted a total of 12 nationwide equestrian competitions, including the Spring National Equestrian Championship and the National Sports for All Festival, contributing to the improvement of equestrian skills across the country and the expansion of the horse industry.
In particular, Jangsu County is solidifying its position as a leading "Special Zone for the Horse Industry" and is emerging as a stay-type equestrian tourism city.
County Governor Choi Hunsik stated, "I hope this championship will be a meaningful occasion for athletes to fully demonstrate their skills and for equestrian enthusiasts to come together in unity," adding, "We will do our utmost to manage facilities and provide operational support so that all participants and visitors can safely enjoy the event."
Meanwhile, the Jangsu International Equestrian Center is equipped with the largest indoor riding arena in Korea, making it the optimal venue for horses and athletes to safely compete regardless of the cold weather expected during the championship period.
