Systematic Records Management System Established Again This Year
Busan Port Authority (BPA), led by President Song Sanggeun, has successfully renewed its ISO 30301 (Records Management System) certification this year, following its initial certification last year.
ISO 30301 is an international standard for records management. It provides an objective certification system aimed at enhancing organizational performance through records management, while also increasing transparency and reliability in the work carried out by organizations.
BPA became the first public enterprise to achieve ISO certification in 2024, having been recognized for its accomplishments such as establishing an electronic records management system that integrates the entire process from the creation and classification to the preservation of various records. This year, BPA explained that it successfully completed recertification through the Korea Management Registrar (KMR) by meeting the requirements of the records management system and through systematic and continuous improvement efforts.
Song Sanggeun, President of BPA, stated, "The renewal of our ISO 30301 certification is more than just obtaining an international standard; it is the result of recognizing records as strategic assets and elevating the reliability and sustainability of our organization. We will continue to operate as a transparent and responsible public institution based on our records management system."
