Fostering an Entrepreneurial Ecosystem
Dong-Eui University (President Han Suhwan) has opened a comprehensive support space for young entrepreneurs.
The university announced on November 11 that it held the opening ceremony for the comprehensive startup incubation support space 'Busan Startup Dream B·RISE' at Hyomin Dormitory on October 24, and will actively work to promote entrepreneurship and foster the startup ecosystem as part of the Busan-type RISE project.
Busan Startup Dream B·RISE is an expansion of the 'Busan Startup Dream' startup residential complex, which was jointly established by Busan Metropolitan City, Busanjin District, and Dong-Eui University. Dedicated office spaces and meeting rooms for startups have been added. By providing startup infrastructure such as laboratories, customized education, and business growth program support, the facility is set to become a cradle for entrepreneurship.

The opening ceremony was attended by Han Suhwan, President of Dong-Eui University; Sung Hee-yeop, Deputy Mayor for Future Innovation of Busan; Lee Heonseung, National Assemblyman (Busanjin District B); Seo Byungsoo, former National Assemblyman; Lee Junhyun, Director of Busan RISE Innovation Institute; Bae Youngsook, Busan City Council member; Park Jinseok, Deputy Mayor of Busanjin District; Park Hoonki, CEO of Busan United Technology Holdings; and entrepreneurs.
Dong-Eui University plans to actively incorporate its technological capabilities and startup support expertise into Busan Startup Dream B·RISE, developing it into an innovation hub where education, research, and entrepreneurship form a virtuous cycle.
Han Suhwan, President of Dong-Eui University, emphasized, "We will actively support patent applications and commercialization programs for outstanding ideas discovered through the Busan-type RISE project, helping young people succeed in entrepreneurship and contributing to the creation of a startup ecosystem that will become the foundation of regional industrial competitiveness."
