Decision to Expand Purchases Through the Technology Market Platform
The Small and Medium Business Corporation announced on the 11th that it had signed a business agreement for the "Gyeongnam Innovation Council of the SME Technology Market" at its headquarters in Jinju, Gyeongnam.

The Gyeongnam Innovation Council of the SME Technology Market is a support council for small and medium-sized enterprises, composed of four public institutions participating in the SME Technology Market. The participating institutions are the Small and Medium Business Corporation located in the Jinju Innovation City in Gyeongnam, Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH), Korea South-East Power Co., Ltd. (KOEN), and Korea Testing Laboratory (KTL).
More than 30 people attended the signing ceremony, including Ban Jeongsik, Director of Regional Innovation at the Small and Medium Business Corporation, Lee Sangjo, Head of the Smart Construction Safety Division at LH, Cho Younghyeok, Executive Vice President of Management Innovation at KOEN, and Song Sanghun, Head of the Certification Business Division at KTL.
Under the agreement, LH and KOEN will expand direct purchases and promote market expansion for SMEs by utilizing the technology market platform. The Small and Medium Business Corporation will support participating companies through policy support systems such as finance and export, while KTL will provide support in the fields of patents and testing. Through this, the institutions plan to connect their specialized functions and enhance the effectiveness of the support system.
The SME Technology Market is an online platform led by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and jointly participated in by 129 public institutions. SMEs can register their outstanding technologies and products, which are then verified and purchased directly by public institutions, helping to secure initial market access. The cumulative purchase amount through this platform from 2019 to the third quarter of 2025 reached 1.4429 trillion won.
Ban Jeongsik, Director of Regional Innovation at the Small and Medium Business Corporation, stated, "By collaborating with the institutions of the Gyeongnam Innovation Council, we will promote the expansion of B2G market access for SMEs and strengthen cooperation between policy projects to support the growth of domestic SMEs. We will continue to enhance the effectiveness of the technology market platform and further reinforce a field-oriented support system."
