Goseong County in South Gyeongsang Province will host the "30th Farmers' Day Commemoration and 9th Goseong County Agricultural and Livestock Products Festival" at Field No. 4 of Goseong County Sports Town from November 11 to 12, 2025.
This event is organized by the Goseong County Agricultural Association and sponsored by Goseong County, aiming to boost the pride of farmers and promote the consumption of local agricultural and livestock products.
The festival features a variety of programs, including a commemorative ceremony and celebratory performances, promotion and sales of agricultural and livestock products, free tasting sessions, exhibitions and hands-on activities, as well as promotional booths for returning farmers, new residents, young farmers, and the Hometown Love Donation Program.
On November 11, the direct sales market and exhibitions for agricultural and livestock products will begin at 10:00 a.m. At 10:30 a.m., there will be a pre-ceremony performance featuring an ocarina ensemble by the Women's Farmers' Association and a fusion Korean music performance by Hwaon. At 11:00 a.m., the ceremony will continue with the introduction of guests, opening declaration, national anthem, awards for distinguished contributors (two from the county governor, two from the council chairperson, one from the head of NH Nonghyup Goseong County branch, and two plaques of appreciation), commemorative and congratulatory speeches, and a "Goseong Rice Gangjeong" performance.
In the afternoon, the festival atmosphere will be heightened with a beer-drinking contest, followed by performances from trot singers Han Areum, Yoon Ina, and Seo Baek, a Nanta performance by the Home Improvement Association, an electronic string performance by the group Iri, and a show by the performance team Happiness.
On November 12, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., programs will continue with exhibitions and sales of agricultural and livestock products, promotional booths for returning and new farmers, young farmers, and information on the Hometown Love Donation Program, all aimed at sustainable agriculture and regional cooperation.
During the festival, as a welcome event for visitors, 1,100 people will receive a 5,000 won coupon on a first-come, first-served basis (at 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on November 11). Visitors can also enjoy tastings of Hanwoo beef and pork, as well as sample products developed by the Agricultural Product Processing Technology Center (such as seasoned rice with chwinamul and soybean paste, traditional liquor, chewy sweet corn, and sikhye).
Local agricultural products such as Goseong rice, sweet persimmons, spinach, paprika, mushrooms, and kiwifruit, as well as livestock and seafood products such as Hanwoo beef, pork, eggs, honey, and scallops, will be exhibited and sold. There will also be displays of eco-friendly agricultural materials, native seeds, and agricultural machinery. In addition, home fashion, traditional Korean paper crafts, and traditional quilting works by women's agricultural organizations will be showcased, offering visitors a rich variety of attractions.
Kim Hwajin, head of the Rural Policy Division, stated, "This festival is a meaningful occasion to share the fruits of farmers' hard work and dedication. With a wide range of hands-on activities, food, and performances prepared, we hope that many residents and tourists will participate, encourage the efforts of our farmers, and enjoy the excellence of local agricultural and livestock products together."
Meanwhile, Goseong County's Farmers' Day has established itself as a signature regional festival where farmers and residents come together in harmony.
