The Department of Dental Hygiene at Gyeongnam Information College, known as "the leading community college representing Busan," recently held the "21st KIT Dental Hygienist Oath Ceremony and Academic Festival" at the Miraegwan Convention Hall on campus. The event aimed to strengthen the professionalism and sense of duty of students as they grow into future dental hygienists.

The ceremony was attended by faculty and current students of the Department of Dental Hygiene, local healthcare institution representatives, and executives from the Busan branch of the Korean Dental Hygienists Association, who gathered to celebrate the first steps of the aspiring dental hygienists.
The oath ceremony proceeded in the order of badge presentation, candle lighting, and oath recital. Seventy-one third-year students reaffirmed their professional ethics and sense of duty as dental hygienists, pledging their commitment to dedication and service.
At the academic festival that followed, students presented 12 research papers they had prepared over the past year, making it a meaningful occasion to share the fruits of their academic achievements and enhanced expertise.
Moon Wonsook, head of the Department of Dental Hygiene, stated, "The Department of Dental Hygiene at Gyeongnam Information College is a central educational institution for nurturing dental hygienists with both creative thinking and character. We will do our utmost to help students inherit tradition and competence so they can grow into professionals leading oral health in the local community."
