On November 6, Mayor Kim held a "Mobile Mayor's Office," where he listened to opinions from new residents regarding the lack of transportation and living convenience facilities. He also provided a detailed explanation of the construction status and long-term development plans for the Paju Medical Cluster project, which has raised concerns among residents, and expressed his firm commitment to improving residential conditions. This initiative aims to quickly identify local issues through direct communication with citizens and reflect them in city policies.

Chorong Flower Village Complex 1 and 2, where residents began moving in after February 2025, are located near Simhak Mountain and benefit from a pleasant natural environment and prime location, including proximity to the Lotte Premium Outlet Paju branch. However, as transportation and living convenience infrastructure are not yet fully established, prompt action from the city is required.

Mayor Kim Kyungil stated, "Chorong Flower Village is one of the future residential centers of Paju City and will continue to develop into an even better place to live," adding, "The city will do everything it can to support this progress."

During the Mobile Mayor's Office event, residents particularly voiced concerns that increasing the floor area ratio for the Medical Cluster might undermine the overall urban planning of Unjeong District 3.

In response, Mayor Kim explained, "This project has undergone thorough review, including environmental impact assessments and deliberations by the Urban Planning and Landscape Committees, with careful consideration given to ensuring harmony with Unjeong District 3."

Mayor Kim further emphasized the positive effects of establishing the Medical Cluster.

He stated, "Once the Medical Cluster is established, not only will access to medical facilities improve, but it will also serve as a catalyst for the development of transportation networks and other infrastructure throughout the region. While there may be some temporary inconveniences, in the long term, the overall residential environment of both Chorong Flower Village and Unjeong District 3 will be dramatically improved."

Paju City plans to continue visiting sites directly through the Mobile Mayor's Office and to maintain an administration based on the voices of its citizens.

The Paju Medical Cluster development project officially entered the full-scale development phase with a groundbreaking ceremony held on October 20. The city is accelerating efforts to attract a university hospital-level "Unjeong General Hospital" (tentative name) as a core infrastructure for the medical and bio industries. Paju City plans to hold a public contest for hospital selection within this month, sign a business agreement in the first half of 2026, and aims to open the hospital after 2032.
