CJ ENM's K-pop content platform, Mnet Plus, announced on November 6 that it has wrapped up Season 1 of its original variety show "Hide and Seek," which premiered last March.

"Hide and Seek" is a survival variety show where seekers and K-pop artists compete in a survival game for 4,444 seconds. Inspired by the traditional Korean game of hide-and-seek, the show was set in various locations such as schools, police stations, water parks, abandoned factories, and theme parks. It introduced a "Fanteractive" structure, allowing both fans and artists to participate simultaneously, which heightened the sense of immersion.

To date, videos related to "Hide and Seek" have accumulated approximately 14 million views across social networking services (SNS), and the unique user count for the single intellectual property (IP) has surpassed 1 million. The show also ranked third in driving new subscriber inflow to Mnet Plus this year, serving as a key source of traffic.

The groups Treasure and NCT WISH appeared as the main stars of the March and April episodes, respectively, each ranking first in subscriber contribution for two consecutive months. In particular, the NCT WISH episode saw daily active users (DAU) surge by 1,200% compared to the previous day immediately after its release, generating an explosive response.

In addition, a total of eight teams participated as players, including RIIZE, ZEROBASEONE, TXT (Tomorrow X Together), ALLDAY PROJECT, TWS, and BOYNEXTDOOR.

Mnet Plus stated, "We are delighted that our first original variety show has established itself as an IP loved by the global fandom," adding, "Next year, we plan to expand the universe and strengthen interactive elements that encourage fan participation, delivering even greater immersion and entertainment."

"Hide and Seek" will return for Season 2 next year.
