The 'CES Innovation Awards' are presented by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) ahead of CES, the world's largest IT and home appliance exhibition held every January in Las Vegas, United States, to products that demonstrate outstanding technological prowess and innovation. Among these, the Grand Innovation Award is given to only one or two companies in each category that show the most exceptional innovation.
'Scan&Go' is an innovative product that combines a robotic arm and an autonomous mobile robot (AMR) platform with physics-informed AI and advanced 3D vision, enabling it to perform a variety of tasks autonomously. It can scan the surfaces of large composite structures such as turbine blades, aircraft fuselages, and building exteriors, generate optimal work paths, and carry out tasks such as inspection, sanding, and grinding.
This plug-and-play solution eliminates the need to create separate design drawings for complex tasks, saving work time while achieving a work precision of 0.1 mm. In addition, torque sensors installed on all six axes of the robotic arm enable real-time force control even on different work surfaces, and it also ensures industry-leading safety (PLe, Cat4).
Kim Minpyo, CEO of Doosan Robotics, stated, "We are fully committed to developing AI robotic solutions that can be immediately deployed in the field to realize the business vision we presented earlier this year, and this Scan&Go solution will be the starting point." He added, "Next year, we will release a variety of AI robotic solutions to the market that address real-world industrial challenges."
