Medical Excellence Proven with Grade 1 in Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service Evaluation
Bumin Hospital Group (Busan, Haeundae, and Seoul) received the highest rating, Grade 1, in the first 2024 adequacy evaluation for tuberculosis, as well as in the adequacy evaluations for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma.
This result once again demonstrates the excellent clinical capabilities of Bumin Hospital Group, as confirmed by the 7th tuberculosis adequacy evaluation, the 10th COPD adequacy evaluation, and the 11th asthma adequacy evaluation conducted by the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service.
The evaluations, conducted nationwide from January to June 2024, assessed the quality of care and patient-centered treatment expertise in the fields of tuberculosis, COPD, and asthma. Bumin Hospital Group achieved Grade 1 by earning high scores in all four criteria for tuberculosis care quality.
The main indicators included the rate of standard drug susceptibility testing, the rate of rapid drug susceptibility testing, and the prescription duration rate for medications. The group achieved excellent results in all these categories.
In the COPD adequacy evaluation, Bumin Hospital Group maintained its Grade 1 rating by scoring highly in indicators such as the rate of pulmonary function tests, the proportion of patients with continuous visits, and the proportion of patients prescribed inhaled bronchodilators, demonstrating a systematic respiratory disease management system.
Similarly, in the asthma adequacy evaluation, the group achieved Grade 1 by excelling in all indicators, with its professional respiratory care system and patient-tailored management receiving positive recognition.
Chairman Jung Heungtae stated, "The three hospitals of Bumin Hospital Group are equipped with a systematic infrastructure for respiratory disease care and a team of medical specialists, allowing patients to receive treatment with peace of mind." He added, "We will continue to lead the way in promoting community health by providing patient-centered care and high-quality medical services."
