Goheung County Donates 'Angel Love House' as a New Home Gift from Public Officials

A Fruitful Outcome of Public-Private Cooperation
and Community Sharing

Goheung County in South Jeolla Province (Governor Gong Youngmin) announced that it held the donation ceremony for the "32nd Angel Love House" at Jungchon Village in Donggang-myeon on November 5.

The event was attended by over 50 people, including Governor Gong Youngmin, Shin Hoon, Secretary-General of the National Disaster Relief Association, the chairperson and members of the Goheung County Council, heads of local organizations, and local residents, making it a meaningful occasion.

On the 5th, Goheung County held the donation ceremony for the "32nd Angel Love House" at Donggang Jungchon Village and donated a 17-pyeong wooden house to the recipient household. Provided by Goheung County

This "32nd Angel Love House" was carried out in connection with the National Disaster Relief Association's "Safety House" housing support project. A newly built 17-pyeong wooden house was donated to the recipient household.

This project was made possible through various contributions, including voluntary donations from public officials, construction work by the Love House Team (Najin Construction), architectural design by Hyein Architects, cadastral surveying by the Goheung branch of Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation, as well as donations of daily necessities from local organizations and residents of Donggang-myeon. This public-private partnership provided a warm new home for a family in need.

In his congratulatory remarks, Governor Gong Youngmin said, "I am very pleased and grateful that public officials and volunteers have come together with one heart and mind to provide a comfortable living space for neighbors in need. Through the Angel Love House, I feel that the entire village and all county residents are united. I hope the family who received this new home will find hope and courage in their new place and live happily."

Meanwhile, Goheung County's "Angel Love House Building" project has been supporting low-income families with poor living conditions since 2003. With donations totaling 920 million won voluntarily raised by about 700 public officials under the county, a total of 32 Angel Love Houses have been donated to date.
