Doosan Enerbility recorded an operating profit of 137 billion won in the third quarter of this year, marking a 19.4% increase compared to the same period last year. The company announced its preliminary results on this day and raised its annual order guidance from the previous 10.7 trillion won to 13-14 trillion won.

On November 5, Doosan Enerbility announced through a disclosure that, on a consolidated basis for the third quarter of 2025, it posted sales of 3.8803 trillion won, operating profit of 137 billion won, and a net loss of 24 billion won. Sales increased by 14.3% from 3.3956 trillion won in the same period last year. Compared to the previous quarter, sales decreased by 15.1%, but operating profit remained in the black, showing improvement over the same period last year.
On a cumulative basis (January to September), sales reached 12.1979 trillion won, up 4.8%, with operating profit at 550.6 billion won and net profit at 152.6 billion won. The company explained that a slowdown in subsidiary performance and external factors such as tariffs contributed to the decrease in net profit.
In the Enerbility division, orders increased by approximately 1.6 trillion won in the third quarter, bringing the cumulative total to 5.3903 trillion won. Major contracts include the construction of three liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage tanks in Dangjin Phase 2 (445.8 billion won, with an 80% stake). The order backlog stood at 16.4174 trillion won, up 1.6 trillion won from the previous year.
The company explained that the upward revision of this year’s annual order target reflects the growth of its core businesses, such as nuclear power and gas turbines. Doosan Enerbility is aiming to secure contracts in the fourth quarter for the manufacture and supply of two main nuclear units in the Czech Republic, gas turbines, and additional unplanned projects. The annual sales outlook has been set at 7.4-7.8 trillion won, with operating profit projected at 310-330 billion won.
Last month, the company exported two Korean gas turbines for the first time to the United States, the home of the gas turbine industry. Doosan Enerbility is working to expand its market presence in response to rising demand for large gas turbines in North America. Additionally, the company is pursuing major projects such as expanding the supply of large nuclear power plants (AP1000) in the United States, investing in a dedicated small modular reactor (SMR) production facility capable of producing 20 units per year, and increasing its track record in 10MW offshore wind turbines.
