Travel Blogger: "A Surreal Experience"
"The Warmth I Felt at the Hotel Was Incomparable"
A hotel in Pakistan where you can spend the night for just 350 won has been introduced. Although the place only offers camp beds, with no private rooms or air conditioning, it is praised among guests as a "hotel full of warmth."
On November 5, CNN-News18 India reported on a video circulating online that introduces what is claimed to be "the world's cheapest accommodation." The hotel featured in the video is "Caravanserai," located in the old city of Peshawar, Pakistan.
The accommodation fee is reportedly 70 Pakistani rupees per night, which is about 350 won. Despite the low price, travelers unanimously say that they can not only get a night's sleep here but also receive warm hospitality.
David Simpson, a British travel blogger, shared his experience at this hotel, saying, "It was a surreal time. I have stayed at five-star hotels, but the warmth I felt here was incomparable to anything else."
The hotel's name, Caravanserai, is derived from the inns where merchants traveling along the Silk Road used to stay in the past.
However, there are no private rooms or air conditioning. The only facilities provided are clean bedding, fans, a shared bathroom, and a complimentary cup of tea. Guests sleep on camp beds lined up on the rooftop of the building.
While it lacks the luxury typically associated with a "hotel," the owner personally greets every single guest. The place has become known by word of mouth, especially because the owner shares the centuries-old history of the hotel with visitors.
The media outlet noted, "It is significant that this small hotel in Pakistan has attracted attention from around the world."
