Gapyeong County Begins Accepting Applications for the "2026 Sports Class Voucher"
For Low-Income Children, Adolescents, and Registered Persons with Disabilities
Gapyeong County in Gyeonggi Province announced on November 5 that it will implement the "2026 Sports Class Voucher Support Program" for residents who face difficulties participating in sports activities due to challenging circumstances.
This program is being carried out in collaboration with the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation. It will provide 105,000 won per month for one year to low-income children and adolescents aged 5 to 18, and 110,000 won per month for one year to registered persons with disabilities aged 5 to 69.
The application period is from November 10 to November 28. Applications can be submitted online by searching for "Sports Class Voucher" on a portal site and accessing the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation website. For those who have difficulty applying online, in-person applications can be submitted at the Culture and Sports Division of Gapyeong County Office.
An official from the Culture and Sports Division stated, "The Sports Class Voucher Support Program is an important welfare policy that expands opportunities for people in economically difficult situations to participate in sports for all. In particular, the number of applicants in the children and youth category tends to be somewhat low each year, so we ask for active interest and participation from eligible families."
