Korea & Company Group Makes First Joint Appearance at World’s Largest Automotive Parts Exhibition

Korea & Company, Hanon Systems, and Hankook Tire Join AAPEX

Korea & Company Group announced on November 5 that its core affiliates jointly participated for the first time in the world’s largest automotive parts exhibition.

Korea & Company, Hanon Systems, and Hankook Tire & Technology jointly took part in "AAPEX 2025," held on the 4th (local time) in Las Vegas, USA. This year marks the 56th edition of the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX), a leading parts exhibition hosted by the Auto Care Association and the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association in the United States.

Korea & Company Group maximized synergy among its affiliates by setting up a joint booth for the three companies. The group aimed to elevate the status of its global unified brand "Hankook," and showcased cutting-edge automotive core components and technologies such as batteries, thermal management, and tires.

At the exhibition, Korea & Company highlighted its strategic product lineup and local production capabilities. The display focused on products and strategies for electric-powered vehicles (xEV), including hybrids and electric vehicles.

The company emphasized the quality competitiveness of its 12-volt (V) lead-acid batteries and unveiled a prototype of its low-voltage lithium-ion battery. Korea & Company presented its major lineup in one place, including original equipment (OE) batteries for electric vehicles, as well as batteries for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, marine, and leisure applications, underscoring its innovative global responsiveness. In addition, the company introduced batteries based on 99.9% pure lead and pure high-performance premium AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) separators, demonstrating its outstanding technological prowess.

Hanon Systems drew visitors’ attention by placing a mock-up vehicle at the forefront of its booth. The vehicle featured the world’s first 4th generation heat pump for electric vehicles, Hankook Tire’s world-first full lineup of EV-specific tires, and Korea & Company’s ES battery, providing a comprehensive view of the group’s integrated mobility solutions.

The 4th generation heat pump is the world’s first to adopt a "parallel heat source recovery system," which simultaneously utilizes heat from the outside air, motor, and battery. This system is currently being mass-produced for Kia’s EV3 electric vehicle. The recovered heat is used for vehicle heating and cooling, as well as battery temperature control, thereby contributing to improved driving range for electric vehicles.

Hanon Systems also showcased several thermal management solutions based on eco-friendly refrigerants. These included an electric compressor using eco-friendly carbon dioxide (R744) refrigerant, supplied for Volkswagen Group’s dedicated electric vehicle "MEB platform," and a refrigerant control module utilizing natural refrigerant propane (R290).

In particular, Lee Sooil, Vice Chairman of Korea & Company Group and CEO of Hanon Systems, remained on-site to hold a series of meetings with major global clients and closely listened to local market trends and customer needs.

Lee stated, "Starting with this exhibition, we will actively promote the Hanon Systems brand value in the global market," adding, "Going forward, we will further enhance our global competitiveness by highlighting the company’s differentiated technological capabilities, based on leading innovation in thermal management technologies and group synergy."

Hankook Tire unveiled an innovative portfolio that combines "connected tire" and "airless" technologies, which are considered the two pillars of future technology. The company introduced its intelligent tire technology "i.Solution," based on tire sensing, and its next-generation airless concept tire "i-Flex," which does not require air injection.

A Korea & Company Group representative said, "With major affiliates jointly participating in the world’s largest exhibition, we have elevated the status of the unified global brand 'Hankook.' We will further strengthen our position as a global high-tech group through technologies such as batteries, thermal management solutions, and tires, thereby contributing to national economic growth and the revitalization of the automotive industry."
