Shinhan Asset Management announced on November 5 that the 'Shinhan Global Carbon Neutral Solution Fund' recorded a one-year return of 92.52%.
Buoyed by this high return, the fund attracted 54 billion won in new capital inflows so far this year. It has established itself as a leading global equity fund that combines artificial intelligence (AI) with carbon neutrality.
Recently, the U.S. market has continued its upward trend, driven by strong third-quarter earnings from big tech companies and expanding investments in AI infrastructure. In this environment, Shinhan Asset Management has proactively increased its allocation to structural growth themes such as AI semiconductor hardware, power grids, and nuclear power, thereby continuing to generate long-term performance.
The Shinhan Global Carbon Neutral Solution Fund selectively invests in key global industries that contribute to the realization of a carbon-neutral society, including AI infrastructure (semiconductors, servers, power grids), renewable energy and the hydrogen economy (solar power, ESS, hydrogen power generation), physical AI (electric vehicles, autonomous driving, robotics), and the circular economy (recycling, energy efficiency).
This fund builds a portfolio centered on approximately 40 to 50 leading global companies, and also invests in major domestic companies within the AI ecosystem, thereby maintaining a well-balanced portfolio across countries. About 80% of foreign currency assets are hedged to manage exchange rate volatility, and the fund maintains an investment strategy that seeks a balance between stability and profitability.
Major investment holdings include Tesla, Nvidia, Constellation Energy, Micron Technology, Samsung Electronics, and GE Vernova. These companies are global leaders in the core value chains of 'AI + energy transition,' including AI semiconductors, data center infrastructure, eco-friendly power, and nuclear power industries. They drive both technological innovation and energy efficiency, representing structural growth opportunities in the era of carbon neutrality.
Kim Jooyoung, Director of Equity Management at Shinhan Asset Management, said, "The domestic stock market is expected to maintain a positive trend for the time being, driven by AI-led industrial growth, expectations for new government policies, and inflows of foreign capital."
He added, "The Shinhan Global Carbon Neutral Solution Fund is a sustainable growth investment product that combines technological innovation and ESG values, and it will continue to deliver stable excess returns going forward."
