Skin and Health Consultations for Citizens
Building Practical Confidence Through Hands-On Experience
The "Dongpijang 8th Class," a volunteer group from the Department of Medical Skin Beauty at Dong-Eui Science University (President: Kim Youngdo), participated in the 13th Seomyeon Medical Street Festival held in Seomyeon, Busanjin-gu, on October 24 and 25, providing a "Health Energy Checkup" volunteer service for citizens, according to an announcement on November 4.
This festival was co-hosted by the Seomyeon Medical Street Council (SMS) and Busanjin-gu, with medical institutions, universities, and beauty organizations coming together to offer a variety of health experience and consultation programs.
Students from Dong-Eui Science University directly conducted skin analysis, bioenergy measurement, and personalized consultations, helping citizens cultivate a healthy lifestyle.
Using professional diagnostic equipment, the students assessed skin moisture and oil balance, elasticity, and stress index, then provided personalized skincare methods and lifestyle improvement suggestions based on the results. At the event, they focused on actively communicating with citizens to convey the value of "healthy beauty."
Kim Suji, the representative of the "Dongpijang 8th Class," said, "It was meaningful to apply the skin analysis and consultation skills I learned at school to real citizens," adding, "Through volunteering, I gained even greater confidence in my major."
Lee Sujin, who was in charge of English consultations, shared, "There were many foreign tourists, so I provided consultations in English. I felt proud when I received words of thanks," and added, "It was a valuable experience to utilize both my major and foreign language skills."
Citizens who visited the event responded positively, saying, "The students were friendly and professional," and "It was helpful to receive an accurate assessment of my skin condition."
"Dongpijang" is a volunteer group composed of students from the Department of Medical Skin Beauty, continuing various volunteer activities such as skincare and health consultations at local festivals and welfare facilities.
The university stated, "Through this activity, students had a meaningful opportunity to develop both their practical skills and spirit of service in the field."
