According to the county on November 4, this recital was part of the "Dream Orchestra" project, which provides children from underprivileged backgrounds with opportunities for music education, including classical instruments. The event served as a platform for the children to showcase the musical skills they had honed throughout the year to local residents.
The performance, attended by local residents and various dignitaries, featured orchestra members ranging from elementary to high school students performing a diverse selection of classical masterpieces and film soundtracks, earning enthusiastic applause from the audience. In particular, a special stage by the orchestra instructors, who have accompanied the children throughout their growth, added to the emotional resonance of the event.
Residents who filled the seats expressed, "Our hearts were warmed by the children's heartfelt performances," and added, "We hope to see more concerts like this in the future."
Earlier this year, Soriae, a non-profit organization, was selected through a public bidding process to manage the Dream Orchestra. Since then, the orchestra has conducted regular individual and ensemble lessons under the guidance of professional instructors.
This concert was a meaningful occasion to recognize the children's efforts and growth over the past year.
Seo Bongseop, Director of Family Policy, stated, "The children's sincere performances touched many people," and added, "We will continue to provide ongoing support so that more children can nurture their dreams through arts and culture."
