To Be Held on December 6 at Wave M Hotel on Turtle Island
Siheung City in Gyeonggi Province is accepting applications for participants in the 'Siheung SOLO' event, which is designed to provide opportunities for young singles to meet and to foster a marriage-friendly atmosphere. Applications will be accepted until November 21.
Now in its third year, the event aims to facilitate communication and interaction among unmarried participants through a variety of activities, including couple recreation, games, special lectures on dating, and one-on-one conversations. This year's event will be held on December 6 at the Wave M Hotel on Turtle Island in Siheung.
The event is open to 60 unmarried men and women born between 1983 and 1998 who are either residents of Siheung or work in Siheung. Those wishing to participate can apply by sending an email to siheungsolo@gmail.com or by visiting the Policy Planning Division at Siheung City Hall in person. If the number of applicants exceeds the available spots, participants will be selected by random draw.
At the first event held last year, 60 people participated and 16 couples were successfully matched. At the second event held in the first half of this year, 40 people participated and 13 couples were formed.
Hong Seungil, Director of the Policy Planning Division at Siheung City Hall, said, "We hope that young men and women, who have few opportunities to meet due to their busy daily lives, will be able to meet a variety of people and enjoy interacting in a natural atmosphere through this program."
