Daewoo Engineering & Construction announced on November 4 that it has won the contract for the redevelopment of the Yuwonjeil 2nd Apartment complex in Dangsan-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. The project involves constructing seven buildings with three basement levels and up to 47 above-ground floors, totaling 703 residential units and various community facilities. The construction cost is 370.2 billion won.
The site is located near Dangsan Station, which serves subway lines 2 and 9, and is adjacent to the Han River. There are elementary, middle, and high schools in the vicinity. The company has proposed 'Paro Summit 49' as the new name for the apartment complex. 'Paro' means lighthouse in Spanish, and '49' refers to the highest number of floors.
The architectural design group Jerde, known for designing Roppongi Hills in Japan, Santa Monica Place in Los Angeles, and the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, will be responsible for the complex's design. Daewoo Engineering & Construction has secured an additional 117 units with Han River views. The highest floors of the complex will feature duplex-type community facilities equipped with private elevators.
