#. In March of last year, an urgent situation unfolded at Samsung Electro-Mechanics' Busan plant. While working as usual, an employee suddenly collapsed due to cardiac arrest, and a colleague who discovered him immediately performed CPR. Employees on site followed the emergency response manual and called 119, ensuring that the "golden hour" was preserved.

On November 4, Samsung Electro-Mechanics announced that it had held the "2025 Safety and Environment Workshop" to expand a field-centered safety culture to its partner companies. The workshop took place at the Samsung Electronics Win-Win Cooperation Academy in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, and included sessions on: major accident prevention and safety management training (by Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency), fire and fire safety training (by Suwon Fire Station), and a workshop on eradicating safety accidents (by Samsung Electro-Mechanics). Representatives and safety and environment managers from over 100 primary and secondary partner companies participated.


Song Seokjin, Director General of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, shared trends in domestic industrial safety and recent accident cases, presenting practical prevention and response measures. Fire Captain Cho Taeil of Suwon Fire Station provided education on identifying and preventing fire hazards and how to use a fire safety checklist. During the "Workshop on Eradicating Safety Accidents" organized by Samsung Electro-Mechanics, various partner companies presented on-site improvement cases, and strategies for fundamentally reducing safety accidents were discussed.

Samsung Electro-Mechanics jointly identifies and improves potential risk factors through regular on-site inspections with its partner companies. Recently, the company established accident prevention systems for 10 partner companies through customized consulting and training programs.


Choi Jongmin, Executive Director and Head of the Safety and Environment Team at Samsung Electro-Mechanics, stated, "Our partner companies are both our companions and key members of the manufacturing site," adding, "Safety is the foundation of corporate competitiveness and the basis of trust." He emphasized, "We will continue to provide ongoing education, inspections, and technical support to achieve 'zero accidents' at partner sites."
