"Military Service Begins on December 15"
Actor Yeo Jin-goo (28) will enlist in the KATUSA (Korean Augmentation to the United States Army) on December 15.
On November 3, Yeo Jin-goo's agency announced, "Yeo Jin-goo has been selected for KATUSA and will serve in the military for one year and six months starting December 15."
However, the agency did not disclose the location or time of his enlistment. The agency stated, "The enlistment ceremony is an occasion attended by many soldiers and their families. We respectfully ask that you refrain from visiting the site on the day of the ceremony."
Yeo Jin-goo's side also conveyed, "We ask for your continued support and encouragement until the day he completes his national defense duty in good health and returns even more mature."
Born in 1997, Yeo Jin-goo made his debut as a child actor in the 2005 film "Sad Movie." He has since appeared in dramas such as "Hit," "Yeon Gaesomun," "Giant," "Deep Rooted Tree," and "Moon Embracing the Sun." He further established his career as an actor by appearing in 30 films and 20 dramas, including "The Crowned Clown," "Hotel Del Luna," "Beyond Evil," and "Hijacking."
