Jungnang District in Seoul (Mayor Ryu Kyunggi) announced on November 3 that it held the "2nd Jungnang District Residents' Sports Festival" at the Jungnang District Grass Sports Field on November 1. More than 5,000 residents from 16 neighborhoods participated in the event, creating an atmosphere of unity where different generations and neighbors came together.

The festival focused on participation and harmony rather than competition, featuring events such as tug-of-war, large baton relay, group jump rope, strategic wood tower, and air stick ladder race, all designed to be enjoyed by various age groups. In addition, family-friendly experience programs were offered, including face painting, laser shooting, CPR training, and blood pressure check booths.
To alleviate traffic congestion, the district implemented one-way traffic on nearby roads from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. and operated shuttle buses as part of its safety measures. After the main event, a congratulatory performance by singer Bae Ahyeon, an awards ceremony, and a prize drawing further fostered community spirit among residents.
Mayor Ryu Kyunggi stated, "This sports festival was an opportunity to reaffirm the value of a community that comes together to encourage one another, going beyond just winning or losing. We will continue to create opportunities for residents to gain health and vitality, communicate with each other, and share happiness."
