Recognized for Contributions to Revitalizing the Local Community and Improving the Residential Environment
Seungil Jeon, Chairman of the Gwangju Seo-gu Council, announced on November 3 that he received a plaque of appreciation from the Residents' Representative Council of Hwajeong Shindong-A Apartments on October 28, in recognition of his contributions to revitalizing the local community and improving the residential environment.
This plaque of appreciation reflects the residents' gratitude for Chairman Jeon's continued interest and administrative support in ensuring the smooth progress of the mural wall project at Hwajeong Shindong-A Apartments.
The old walls of Hwajeong Shindong-A Apartments were newly decorated through the mural project, transforming what was once a bleak space into a street for communication and healing, where residents can connect with one another.
This project is evaluated as having gone beyond mere aesthetic improvement, serving as an opportunity to promote harmony between generations and strengthen the sense of community.
Chairman Seungil Jeon stated, "The mural project is a beautiful result completed through the voluntary participation and cooperation of the residents," adding, "I will continue to actively support the creation of a happy and warm-hearted neighborhood for our residents."
A representative of the Residents' Council of Hwajeong Shindong-A Apartments said, "Thanks to Chairman Seungil Jeon's sincere interest even in small local projects, our apartment complex has become a warmer and more vibrant place," adding, "We presented this plaque of appreciation to express the gratitude of all residents."
