[Weather Tomorrow] Monday Morning Commute to Drop to Minus 4 Degrees... Temperature Difference in Seoul Around 15 Degrees Yonhap News Agency

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 2nd, the nationwide morning low on the 3rd is forecast to range from -4 to 5 degrees Celsius. By major region, Cheorwon is expected to reach -4 degrees, Sejong -2 degrees, Gwacheon, Chungju, and Wonju -1 degree, Suwon 0 degrees, Seoul, Gwangmyeong, and Incheon 1 degree, Daegu 2 degrees, Ulsan 3 degrees, and Busan 4 degrees.

As cold air moves down from the north, a cold wave advisory has been issued from 9 p.m. on the 2nd for some central regions, including Seoul, as well as Jeonbuk and western Gyeongsang.

Strong winds are also expected, making it feel even colder. The cold is expected to persist until the morning of the 4th before gradually easing.

On the 3rd, subzero temperatures are expected mainly in inland areas nationwide, and on the following day, in eastern Gyeonggi inland, Gangwon inland, and mountainous regions. In Seoul and other inland areas, the temperature difference between day and night will be around 15 degrees Celsius, so it is important to dress appropriately.

In some areas along the east coast of Gangwon, the east coast of North Gyeongsang, and the south coast, there may be less than 0.1 mm of light rain. In central inland areas, mountainous regions of Gangwon, and high mountain areas in the south, ice may form, so extra care is needed for crop management during the harvest season.

Strong winds should also be watched for. In mountainous areas of Gangwon, the east coast, and the east coast of North Gyeongsang, where a strong wind advisory is in effect, winds will be very strong-exceeding 70 km/h (over 90 km/h in mountainous areas)-until tonight. On the west coasts of South Chungcheong and Jeolla, winds will remain strong until the early morning of the 3rd. In most other regions nationwide, winds may reach around 55 km/h.
