LG Electronics has been conducting campaigns to raise awareness about the importance of biodiversity and to highlight the dangers of carbon emissions and global warming. The company showcases the beautiful and dynamic appearances of animals endangered by climate change on the Times Square electronic billboard.

This latest Kodiak Bear video uses 3D imagery to depict the bear, whose habitat is threatened by abnormal climate conditions, raising awareness about the severity of environmental destruction. The Kodiak Bear, famously known as the inspiration for the beloved British character "Paddington," is experiencing a decline in population due to climate change, habitat loss from development, and indiscriminate hunting.

Previously, LG Electronics released videos at Times Square featuring the Monarch Butterfly (February), West Indian Manatee (April), and Pygmy Owl (July) this year. Last year, the company continuously emphasized the importance of environmental protection by screening campaign videos on endangered species such as the Snow Leopard (April), Bald Eagle (July), Sea Lion (September), and Red Wolf (December).

In particular, starting this year, LG Electronics has expanded its endangered species protection campaign by participating as an official partner in the nature documentary series "The Americas," produced by the U.S. broadcaster NBC. In addition, the company is running an online campaign with the National Wildlife Federation (NWF) in the United States, encouraging more students to take an interest in endangered animals by pledging to learn about local endangered species.

LG Electronics also operates the "LG Hope Screen," which broadcasts public interest videos from international organizations and NGOs on its electronic billboards overseas, including in New York and London. Since 2011, the LG Hope Screen has aired approximately 350 hours of public interest content, including environmental protection, disaster relief, and United Nations General Assembly videos, over the past 15 years.

Jung Kyuhwang, Executive Vice President and Head of North America at LG Electronics, stated, "We will continue to raise awareness about the severity of climate change and the importance of preserving biodiversity, and join efforts to protect the environment for future generations."
