"The Scent of People, Yuja Paradise" Slogan
A Spectacle of Brilliant Lights Until December 31
Goheung County in South Jeolla Province (Governor Gong Youngmin) announced on November 2 that, ahead of the 5th Goheung Yuja Festival to be held from November 6 to 9, the nightscape facilities created around the festival site will be opened in advance and remain accessible until December 31.
This year's festival slogan is "The Scent of People, Yuja Paradise." Various landscape lighting installations and photo zones themed around yuja, Goheung’s signature specialty, are expected to fill the nights of the region with light and fragrance.

The early opening of these nightscape facilities is intended to attract tourists even before the festival begins and to expand the foundation for extended-stay tourism. Through this initiative, Goheung County aims to promote nighttime tourism and invigorate the local economy at the same time.
Key attractions include an entrance arch with a yuja-themed photo zone, a yuja tunnel where visitors can experience both light and fragrance, the Yuja Exhibition Hall decorated with media facade lighting, the seasonal theme zone "Zuzu Halloween," luminaria and illuminated lanterns surrounding the yuja orchards, the Yuja Observatory as a scenic light-up point, and the "Healing Garden Theater" featuring facade lighting on the yuja fields. These diverse installations offer a wide range of sights for visitors to enjoy.
Governor Gong Youngmin stated, "This year, we have prepared not only a daytime festival filled with the scent of yuja, but also a nighttime Goheung illuminated by light. I hope many people will visit and enjoy this emotional nighttime healing course, perfect for an autumn evening stroll with family and loved ones."
Meanwhile, the main events of the Goheung Yuja Festival will be held from November 6 to 9 in Handong-ri, Pungyang-myeon, featuring activities such as making yuja marmalade, specialty product sales, performances, and a variety of programs showcasing Goheung’s local cuisine.
