Stock Market to Open at 10 a.m. on CSAT Day, No Pre-Market Session on November 13

NextTrade After-Market to Open One Hour Later
Closing Time Remains at 8:00 p.m.

On November 13, the day of the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT), the domestic stock market will open one hour later than usual, at 10:00 a.m.

The Korea Exchange announced on the 30th that on the day of the CSAT, the opening and closing times for the KOSPI, KOSDAQ, and KONEX markets will each be delayed by one hour.

Accordingly, the regular trading hours for these markets, which are normally from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., will be changed to 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on that day.

Pre-market trading sessions will also be postponed by one hour.

For single-price and block/basket trading after the market closes, the opening time will be delayed by one hour, but the closing time will remain at 6:00 p.m.

In the derivatives market, trading for equity and interest rate products such as KOSPI200 futures and options, Mini KOSPI200 futures and options, KRX300 futures, and Treasury bond futures will have both opening and closing times delayed by one hour. For currency products such as US dollar futures and options, and gold futures, only the opening time will be delayed by one hour. Pork belly futures will remain unchanged and operate as usual.

The night market for products like KOSPI200 futures and US dollar futures will have its opening time delayed by one hour, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., while the closing time (6:00 a.m. the following day) will remain the same.

In the general commodities market, the gold market will only have its opening delayed by one hour, with closing at the usual 3:30 p.m. The KSM (KRX Startup Market) trading hours will also be delayed by one hour, opening at 10:00 a.m. and closing at 4:30 p.m., in line with the securities market.

The trading hours for the oil market (10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) and the emissions trading market (10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.) will remain unchanged.

Meanwhile, the alternative trading system NextTrade will not operate its pre-market session on the day of the CSAT. The main market trading hours will be delayed by one hour, from the usual 9:00 a.m. - 3:20 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. - 4:20 p.m.

For the after-market, the opening time will be delayed by one hour to 4:30 p.m., but the closing time will remain at 8:00 p.m.

The opening time for the block and basket trading market will be delayed by two hours to 10:00 a.m., while the closing time will remain at the current 6:00 p.m.
