Haeundae Bumin Hospital (Director: Kang Daehwan) announced on the 29th that it has received the "Excellent Endoscopy Center Certification" for the third consecutive time from the Korean Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the Korean Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Research Foundation.
The "Excellent Endoscopy Center Certification System" is a program jointly administered by the two organizations to improve the quality of gastrointestinal endoscopic examinations in Korea and to establish a safe medical environment.
To obtain certification, all essential criteria in six areas must be met: personnel, facilities and equipment, examination procedures, performance indicators, disinfection and infection control, and sedation endoscopy.
Haeundae Bumin Hospital received high evaluations in all categories based on the skilled expertise of its medical staff, outstanding facilities and equipment, and a thorough infection control system. As a result, the hospital has been certified for three consecutive terms since its first certification in 2016, followed by 2019 and 2022. The validity period of this certification is from October 2025 to September 2028.
Kang Daehwan, Director of Haeundae Bumin Hospital, stated, "This certification is an official recognition that the Gastroenterology Center at Haeundae Bumin Hospital provides safe and high-quality medical services based on professional medical staff and advanced endoscopic equipment." He added, "We will actively utilize AI endoscopy interpretation programs to achieve precise diagnoses and deliver the best patient-centered medical services."
