Gyeonggi Province to Open Expo at KINTEX on November 5
Introducing New Construction Technologies in Civil Engineering, Architecture, and Mechanical Equipment
Supporting On-site Adoption of Innovative Construction Technologies
Gyeonggi Province will host the '2025 Gyeonggi-do Construction New Technology Expo' from November 5 to 7, 2025, at Exhibition Halls 7 and 8 of KINTEX Exhibition Center 2 in Goyang. This expo is designed to promote various new construction technologies, encourage their adoption and utilization in the public construction sector, and foster mutual growth with small and medium-sized enterprises developing new technologies.
The event will be held concurrently with the '2025 Smart Construction·Safety·AI Expo', organized by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, offering a wide range of attractions and hands-on experiences.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the enactment of the Gyeonggi-do Construction New Technology Promotion Ordinance, and under the core slogan "Meeting of Technology and Innovation: Seizing Opportunities with Construction New Technologies," a commemorative ceremony and special programs will be held. To wish for the successful hosting and operation of the expo, a special performance by popera singer La Classe will also be presented in cooperation with the Gyeonggi Arts Center.
The expo will focus on exhibitions of new technologies in civil engineering, architecture, and mechanical equipment; excellent technology matching consultations; interactive promotional halls; a construction new technology competition and awards ceremony; and a commemorative event for the 10th anniversary of the ordinance. The event aims to expand the dissemination and public adoption of new technologies, with a particular emphasis on smart safety, eco-friendliness, on-site innovation, and AI-based technologies.
In particular, the expo will strengthen one-on-one customized consultations connecting ordering agencies and developers, ensuring that new technologies do not remain confined to the exhibition hall but are actually introduced to public construction sites. Gyeonggi Province is expected to solidify its role as a central hub for the spread of new construction technologies in Korea.
Kang Seongsup, Director of the Construction Bureau of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "To create a safe and efficient construction environment that residents can truly experience, we ask for the active interest and participation of construction industry stakeholders, public officials, new technology developers, and residents so that new technologies can be more widely applied in public construction."
During the expo period, admission to the exhibition hall will be free of charge.
