Namwon City to Hold Special Exhibition "Oh Sangah, I Lost Myself" Exhibition Poster for the Work "Oh Sangah, I Lost Myself".

The exhibition's title, "Oh Sangah (吾喪我)," is an important phrase from "Zhuangzi" (莊子), specifically from the chapter "Qiwulun" (齊物論), and is interpreted as "I lost myself." This reflects the core message of the chapter, which is about transcending the boundaries that separate things and becoming one with all beings in the world.

An official from the museum stated, "We hope this exhibition will provide an opportunity to experience the art of Kim Byungjong, allowing visitors to move beyond narrow worlds that divide boundaries and distinguish between self and others, and instead enjoy an artistic experience of becoming one with the subject."

Gallery 1 will showcase major works by the artist, including "Hwahong Landscape," "Wind Bamboo," and "Pine Pollen Scattering." Gallery 2 will feature the "Foolish Jesus" and "In the Forest" series, as well as "Caribbean Scenery" and "Geumgangsan Manmulsang," which are works painted during the artist's travels.

Gallery 3 will present paintings such as "Reading Leisurely After Rain" and "Song of Life - Orchid at Leisure," along with ceramic paintings, offering visitors a comprehensive view of the artist's wide-ranging artistic world.

This exhibition is free of charge and will be open throughout the entire museum, except on Mondays when the museum is closed. For more information, please contact the museum by phone.
