Ahn Hyeongju, Gwangju Seo-gu Council Member, Appointed as Policy Committee Member of Korea Caregivers Association

Ahn Hyeongju, a member of the Gwangju Seo-gu Council, announced on the 28th that he recently received a letter of appointment as a policy committee member from the Gwangju branch of the Korea Caregivers Association (Branch Director: Lee Seonhwa).

The Korea Caregivers Association is a national representative organization for the country's 650,000 caregivers. It advocates for the legal and institutional rights of caregivers and is responsible for standardizing care services and professional work in the field.

This appointment as a policy committee member is a recognition of Councilman Ahn's achievements and expertise in legislative activities, particularly his dedication to improving local welfare. Going forward, he will serve as an important bridge representing the voices of caregivers in the field.

Councilman Ahn stated, "I pay tribute to the devoted efforts of caregivers who care for the elderly at the closest proximity," adding, "As a policy committee member of the Gwangju branch of the Korea Caregivers Association, which has a nationwide network, my goal is to help create a society where caregivers are respected and their professionalism is acknowledged." He continued, "I will do my best to address the challenges faced in the field through laws and systems, and to help establish the 'Gwangju-style integrated care' that will satisfy all citizens of Gwangju."

An official from the Gwangju branch of the Korea Caregivers Association said, "The addition of Councilman Ahn, an expert in welfare policy for Seo-gu, Gwangju, will serve as an important opportunity to directly reflect the voices of the field in legislative activities," and added, "Through Councilman Ahn's policy capabilities, we expect significant synergy in improving the rights of caregivers in Gwangju and advancing care services."
