Gochang County to Host the 52nd Gochang Moyangseong Festival on October 29

Gochang County in Jeonbuk will hold the 52nd Gochang Moyangseong Festival under the slogan "Fall in Love with Gochang, Dyed in Moyang Love" from October 29 to November 2 at Gochang Eupseong Fortress, the Traditional Arts Experience Village, the Flower Garden, and the Gochang Greenmaru area.

Gochang County in Jeonbuk will hold the 52nd Gochang Moyangseong Festival under the slogan "Fall in Love with Gochang, Dyed in Moyang" from the 29th of this month to the 2nd of next month at Gochang Eupseong, Traditional Arts Experience Village, Flower Garden, and Gochang Green Maru.

According to the county on October 28, this year's Gochang Moyangseong Festival will feature a variety of experiential programs, including the "Gochang Eupseong Fortress Building Challenge," which aims to reflect on the historical significance of Gochang Eupseong Fortress. Other highlights include the "Dapseongnori Promotion Hall" to invigorate the festival's signature Dapseongnori program, the "QR Explorer: Moyang in Love," and the "Dapseongnori Reels Challenge," among other interactive activities.

In particular, on November 1, the festival's representative event, "Dapseongnori," will take place as a parade of participants beautifully dressed in hanbok. A street parade under the theme "We Are Someone's Hero," featuring over 1,000 residents from towns and villages, will further enliven the festive atmosphere.

The opening ceremony, scheduled for 7 p.m. on October 29 at the special stage in Gochang Eupseong Fortress, will be attended by major domestic figures and tourists, as well as international influencers and embassy officials, enhancing the festival's global profile. The county is working to highlight its identity and dignity as a World Heritage city and is preparing to grow into a global cultural tourism festival.

County Governor Shim Deokseop stated, "The Gochang Moyangseong Festival is not just a local event, but is evolving into a 'complete festival' where all generations come together and expand to the world. I hope this will be a festival where everyone finds happiness amid the beauty and historical value of Gochang Eupseong Fortress."
