The International City Training Center of the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Office of International Cooperation, in partnership with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), is operating an international training course titled "Modernization of Health Systems and Strengthening Medical Administration Capacity" for officials from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of Bangladesh from October 27 to November 8.

This invitational training program involves 15 medical and administrative officials from the central government of Bangladesh. The program includes sharing Gangwon Province’s policies and best practices on healthcare modernization, on-site exchanges through visits to local universities, hospitals, research institutes, and companies in the medical field, and exploring ways to enhance cooperation among relevant organizations.

In particular, medical device companies from Gangwon Province aiming to enter the Bangladeshi market will introduce advanced technologies and products such as artificial intelligence (AI)-based patient safety management systems, ultra-compact X-ray equipment, and disease diagnostic kits, and will discuss how these can be applied to the local healthcare system.

Jeon Hee-seon, Director of International Cooperation at Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, stated, "This training program brings together key officials, including those from the National Medical Supplies Agency of Bangladesh, providing an excellent opportunity for local companies to present their technologies and products directly to the local government. Through site visits and practical exchanges, we will actively support the overseas expansion of local companies and continue to expand our cooperation networks with governments abroad, including Bangladesh."
