The Changsin Sodam Public Parking Lot and Complex Facility, located at 641 Changsin-dong, began construction in October 2018 and has been completed after seven years. The facility consists of five basement levels and three above-ground floors, with a total floor area of 7,921 square meters. It offers 176 parking spaces, a public library, and a youth cultural center.

In particular, the youth cultural center features amenities such as a coin karaoke room, dance practice studio, band room, and a space for experiencing traditional Hanok culture, all designed to support creative cultural activities for young people. The completion ceremony will begin at 3 p.m.

Starting with the opening of the Samcheong No.1 Public Parking Lot in May, Jongno District plans to sequentially complete the Changsin Sodam, Ogin-dong, and Sinyeong-dong public parking lots by the first half of next year, securing a total of 458 parking spaces. In addition, since October 2022, the district has signed agreements with 11 private parking lots, securing an additional 128 spaces, and will operate a total of 586 new public and partnership parking spaces.

In December, a new public parking lot and sports facility will be completed at 47-16 Ogin-dong, consisting of four basement levels and two above-ground floors, with a total floor area of 4,732 square meters. The facility will provide 90 parking spaces, a screen golf park, a multipurpose room, and a rooftop mini sports field, offering residents convenient facilities for both leisure and sports activities.

Additionally, on the site at 219-11 Sinyeong-dong, a public parking lot and community facility with one basement level and two above-ground floors is scheduled for completion in the first half of next year. This open space is intended to alleviate parking difficulties in narrow alleyways and promote communication among residents.

Jung Moonheon, Mayor of Jongno District, stated, "The Changsin Sodam Public Parking Lot and Complex Facility is not just a parking lot, but a comprehensive cultural space that brings together leisure, learning, and youth cultural activities for residents. We will continue to actively identify and utilize available sites and underground spaces throughout Jongno to create changes that make daily life a little more comfortable and happier for our residents."
