Hanwha Signs 1.5 Trillion Won Cheongung II Component Supply Contract with LIG Nex1

To Be Supplied Adapted to Iraq's Climate and Conditions

Hanwha Systems and Hanwha Aerospace announced on October 27 that they have signed a contract with LIG Nex1 to supply components for the medium-range surface-to-air guided weapon system "Cheongung II," with a total value of 1.477 trillion won.

Under this contract, Hanwha Systems will supply the multi-function radar (MFR) for Cheongung II. The contract value is 860 billion won.

Hanwha Aerospace will provide launchers, missile canisters, and launch tubes, with a contract value of 617 billion won.

Cheongung II, produced using components from these two Hanwha defense companies, will be exported to Iraq.

Hanwha Systems and Hanwha Aerospace plan to modify the Cheongung II export model, which was previously supplied to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, to suit Iraq's climate, terrain, and operational environment before delivery.
