BNK Busan Bank (President Bang Seongbin) received the Presidential Citation in the "Promotion of Sharing Culture" category at the 120th anniversary ceremony of the Korean Red Cross held on the 27th.

The ceremony, which took place in the afternoon at the COEX Auditorium in Seoul, was organized to honor organizations and individuals who have demonstrated humanitarian spirit through disaster and emergency response and relief activities for vulnerable groups.

Since last year, the government has been awarding Presidential Citations in recognition of humanitarian achievements, and this year, approximately 50 organizations and individuals, including Busan Bank, were honored.

In line with its management policy of "returning profits earned in the region to the region," Busan Bank has carried out a variety of social contribution activities to revitalize the local economy and foster a culture of mutual growth. Notable initiatives include the "Alley Companion Mutual Growth Finance Campaign" to support declining local commercial districts, the "Talent Donation Volunteer Group" where employees contribute their skills to the community, and the "Children's Love Festival," a participatory event aimed at improving childcare environments.

Last year alone, Busan Bank spent 59.9 billion won on social contribution activities, ranking first among regional banks in terms of the ratio of social contribution expenditures to net profit. This is also among the highest in the entire banking sector. The bank is strengthening its role as a partner for mutual growth that leads change in the region, going beyond simple financial support.

Bang Seongbin, President of Busan Bank, stated, "I believe this Presidential Citation is a recognition of Busan Bank's genuine commitment to mutual growth with the local community," adding, "We will continue to closely identify areas in need within the region and further promote a culture of sharing through sincere social contribution."
