Business Agreement Signed with Korea Local Information Development Institute
Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province has begun work on upgrading its administrative information system in preparation for the launch of a four-district general ward system scheduled for February next year.
On the 27th, Hwaseong City signed a 'Business Agreement for Supporting Administrative Information System Data Transition' with the Korea Local Information Development Institute at the central conference room of City Hall.

This agreement, attended by Mayor Jung Myung-geun and Park Deok-su, President of the Korea Local Information Development Institute, was established to ensure uninterrupted public services and to secure the stability and continuity of administrative work by collectively transitioning data, including administrative standard codes such as those for administrative districts, legal districts, institutions, and road names, which will be changed due to the establishment of district offices.
Through this agreement, the two organizations have agreed to cooperate closely not only on the data transition but also on building a strong collaborative relationship to support the stabilization of services after the launch of the new district offices.
Under the agreement, both parties will work together on the systematic transition of data, including analysis, program development, simulation training, actual data migration, and post-transition stabilization support for national standard and unified administrative information systems such as local taxes, resident computing, and road name addresses, which are subject to the upgrade.
President Park stated, "The systems subject to data transition are closely linked to the daily lives of citizens," adding, "We will actively cooperate to ensure the successful launch of Hwaseong City's new district office system."
Mayor Jung said, "We are thoroughly preparing so that citizens can access faster and more convenient administrative services closer to home with the launch of the district office system," and added, "We will systematically implement the transition in close cooperation with the Institute to prevent any inconvenience to citizens."
Meanwhile, Hwaseong City plans to launch a four-district general ward system-Manse, Hyohang, Byeongjeom, and Dongtan-starting February 1 next year.
