Korea Real Estate Development Association Marks 20th Anniversary with CI Overhaul Led by Former Starbucks Creative Director

New CI to Be Unveiled at 20th Anniversary Event on November 20

The Korea Real Estate Development Association (KODA) has launched a new corporate identity (CI) initiative to mark its 20th anniversary. As part of its efforts to reposition itself for the global market, the association has brought Youngha Park, a former creative director at Starbucks Korea, to the forefront of the project.

According to the association on October 27, Kim Seungbae, President of the Korea Real Estate Development Association, commented on the CI overhaul, stating, "With the association's 20th anniversary, we felt it was necessary to visually redefine our identity and future vision." He added, "The new CI will embody innovation, transparency, and sustainability under the value of '20 Years of Progress with Global Developers.'"

Leading the renewal project is Creative Director Park, one of Korea's foremost branding experts. His extensive experience includes serving as the lead designer at Karim Rashid's New York studio-a position with one of the world's top three industrial designers-senior designer at Interbrand Korea, design director at SPC Group, and creative director at Starbucks Korea. Park currently heads Youngha Park Studio and also serves as an adjunct professor at Korea National University of Arts and a visiting professor at Hongik University.

He has led major projects such as the PyeongChang Winter Olympics look design, the renewal of Paris Baguette's brand identity (BI), and the BTS-Starbucks global collaboration. Park has received more than 20 international design awards, including Germany's Red Dot and iF Design Awards, the United States' Type Directors Club (TDC), and the UK's Pentawards.

Kim Daegun, Deputy Director of the 20th Anniversary Commemorative Project Team and Chairman of Reagan Group, who recruited Park, said, "This CI renewal is a symbolic step in announcing the association's innovative leap forward." He added, "The new CI will be unveiled at the 'A.N.D 20' 20th anniversary event on November 20, where the association will share its new vision with the industry and society at large." The anniversary event will be attended by executives from global developers such as Kushner Companies (USA), Mori Building (Japan), and Edge (Netherlands), as well as major domestic figures. The event will also feature a global developer conference and a vision declaration ceremony.
