Damyang County, led by Governor Jeong Cheolwon, announced on October 27 that it held the "10th Community Welfare Workers Harmony Festival" at the Damyang Cultural Center on the 24th. The event was organized by the Damyang County Caregivers Association, chaired by Lee Dongoh.

Each year, the county hosts the "Community Welfare Workers Harmony Festival" to strengthen bonds among welfare workers and expand the foundation for public-private cooperation. This year, more than 600 community welfare workers attended the event, which was held to recognize and encourage the dedication of social welfare professionals who have contributed to the development of local welfare.

The pre-event program began with promotional videos from four partner organizations-the Damyang County Caregivers Association, the Damyang County Social Workers Association, the Damyang County Community Security Council, and the Damyang County Long-Term Home Care Association. The atmosphere was further enlivened by a senior Taekwondo demonstration and a lively performance by a healing Janggu (traditional drum) team.

The main event featured a commemorative ceremony, during which the county governor's commendations and plaques of appreciation were awarded to social welfare workers who have contributed to the advancement of welfare. This was followed by a concert and a singing contest, providing a time of unity and enjoyment for field workers.

Governor Jeong Cheolwon stated, "I deeply appreciate the dedication of all social welfare workers who steadfastly support the welfare field in Damyang," adding, "We will continue to create an environment where welfare workers are respected and can grow together."
