Content IP and Technology Experts from Roblox, Netflix, and More Gather in One Place

A forum focusing on the convergence of content intellectual property (IP) and technology will be held.


The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency will host "Content Insight" at the Hongneung Content Culture Plaza in Seoul on November 6 and 7. Domestic and international experts will participate to discuss industry changes.


The first day will address "The Global IP Universe and Fandom Revolution." Christian Bailey, Head of Global Licensing at Roblox; Ryosuke Watanabe, Vice President of GREE Entertainment; and Patrick Kallourji, Producer at the UAE National Media Council, will present on global IP business strategies and the evolution of the fandom industry. Jane Han, who previously led creative strategy at Netflix and Meta, will deliver a keynote speech on "New Worldview Strategies Created by AI." Kim Jaehong, Vice President of 1Million Studio, and Shota Tanaka, General Leader at DeNA, will each introduce cases of fandom expansion in the K-pop and gaming industries.


The second day will focus on "Technology-Based Business and Innovation in AI Creation." Joel Kuwahara, producer of "The Simpsons" and co-founder of Bento Box Entertainment; Lee Jicheol, CEO of Giantstep; and A.J. Wedding, CEO of Orbital Virtual Studio, will discuss changes in production environments using virtual production and immersive technologies. In the afternoon, Timothy Xu, Head of Business Development for Canva and Leonardo AI; Yoon Harim, YouTube Media Partnerships Manager; and Gilly Miller, Unity Design Director, will share strategies for AI storytelling and global expansion.


The Korea Creative Content Agency will also organize small-scale workshops between key speakers and industry professionals to provide networking opportunities. Those who register in advance will have the chance to speak directly with leading figures from Roblox, Netflix, Bento Box, and Canva.


Yoo Hyunseok, Acting President of the Korea Creative Content Agency, stated, "The convergence of intellectual property and technology is a key driver for K-content's global expansion. This event will serve as an opportunity to share an industry vision that combines creativity and advanced technology, and to foster the growth of next-generation talent and the ecosystem together."
