The contest, held from June to August under the theme "Innovation Connecting Industry and Campus, Capdivers!", invited exterior design submissions for "Capdivers," which will be used in field-oriented educational programs such as capstone design and industry-linked internships.
The grand prize was awarded to Ko Heehyun, a student from the Department of Design and Formative Arts. Ko was highly praised for a piece that visually expressed the harmony between Dong-Eui University and local innovation using the phrase "Busan-style RISE." In addition, two students received excellence awards and two received encouragement awards, making a total of five winners. A total prize of 2.3 million won was awarded.
Lee Imgeon, Director of the RISE Project Group, stated, "It is significant that students’ creative ideas are being applied in actual educational settings." He added, "The selected design will be used for the actual wrapping of Capdivers in the future, becoming a symbol that connects the university and local industry."
