In connection with allegations of admissions irregularities at the National High School of Traditional Arts, the police have launched a compulsory investigation.
The Anti-Corruption Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced that at approximately 11:50 a.m. on October 27, investigators were dispatched to the National High School of Traditional Arts in Geumcheon-gu, Seoul, to conduct a search and seizure operation.
The police are reportedly working to secure relevant materials in order to determine whether any illegal activities took place during the admissions process.
Previously, the police received a complaint alleging that certain individuals were involved in illicit solicitations during the admissions screening process at the National High School of Traditional Arts.
Subsequently, in September, the police booked a school official on charges of obstruction of official duties by fraudulent means and launched a full-scale investigation.
