While Gyeongju City has stated that posts circulating on some cafes and blogs regarding a "G-Dragon APEC 2025 Gyeongju Cheomseongdae performance" are not true, the city clarified on the 27th that a private performance for the APEC leaders' dinner is indeed scheduled.

Previously, when searching for "G-Dragon Cheomseongdae" on certain portal sites, multiple posts titled "APEC 2025 Gyeongju Cheomseongdae Performance Participation Pre-Registration Link" appeared, prompting Gyeongju City to announce on the 26th that the posted "G-Dragon APEC 2025 Cheomseongdae performance" was fake.

In response, Gyeongju City emphasized, "There are absolutely no plans for a G-Dragon performance at Cheomseongdae, and any information suggesting 'pre-registration' or 'application submission' is also false," urging citizens to be cautious.

However, in a phone call with The Asia Business Daily on this day, a Gyeongju City official stated, "Nevertheless, I understand that a private performance for the APEC leaders' dinner will take place."

The official added, "Although there was quite a commotion due to the spread of false information about the Cheomseongdae performance, which could have undermined trust in Gyeongju City, we fully understand the hopes of fans wishing for a Gyeongju performance by G-Dragon. Therefore, we are not pursuing any legal action against those who spread this misinformation."

Meanwhile, G-Dragon, who was appointed as the promotional ambassador for the APEC Summit in July, participated without a fee in the APEC promotional video "What Happened in the Parking Lot," produced by Dolgorae Yukwaidan.
