[Today's New Product] CU's New Dubai Chocolate Sells 100,000 Units in One Week

Two Dubai Chocolate Desserts Launched on the 15th
Over 100,000 Sold Within One Week of Release

CU, a convenience store operated by BGF Retail, announced on the 27th that over 100,000 units of its two Dubai chocolate desserts, launched on the 15th, were sold within just one week of their release.

First, the "Dubai Chewy Glutinous Rice Cake" features a chewy rice cake filled with kadaif and pistachios. The exterior is coated in chocolate to maximize its crispy texture. This product has attracted attention for its texture, which is similar to that of the Dubai Chewy Cookie. Due to a shortage in supply, it is currently unavailable for pre-order on the Pocket CU app and is being delivered to stores in limited quantities only.

The "Dubai Choco Brownie," launched alongside, is a dense brownie topped with kadaif and pistachio spread, finished with a chocolate coating and chopped pistachios.

The keyword "Dubai" is currently ranking high in search terms within the Pocket CU app. CU is planning to release additional products to align with the renewed Dubai chocolate trend.

Kim Goni, snack food team merchandiser at BGF Retail, said, "Through close monitoring of the dessert market, we identified trends and quickly introduced new Dubai desserts by adding our own convenience store ideas," adding, "Going forward, CU will continue to strengthen its role as an industry trendsetter by swiftly capturing domestic and international consumer trends, ensuring customers can experience the latest fads first at our stores."
