On October 25 (local time), international media outlets such as TMZ reported that the two officially confirmed their relationship by holding hands while leaving 'Crazy Horse Paris,' a famous venue in Paris, France, as they celebrated Katy Perry's 41st birthday together.

Fans and reporters gathered at the scene to catch a glimpse of the pair. Trudeau and Perry drew attention with their affectionate demeanor throughout the event. After previously being photographed kissing on a luxury yacht, the two made a public appearance together, establishing themselves as an official couple. Rumors of their relationship first emerged in July when they were seen having dinner together in Montreal, Canada. Later that month, it was reported that Trudeau attended Katy Perry's concert in Montreal on July 30.

At the end of September, photos taken by tourists on the coast of Santa Barbara, California, were released, further fueling the rumors and making their relationship appear as fact. The photos showed Perry in a swimsuit and Trudeau shirtless, openly displaying affection as a couple. Previously, Perry ended her relationship with actor Orlando Bloom, which had lasted since 2016, in early July. Trudeau also separated from his wife, Sophie Gregoire, in 2023 after 18 years of marriage. They have three children: a 17-year-old son, a 16-year-old daughter, and an 11-year-old son.
