The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced on October 27 that it will host a listening session titled "Stories of Co-Creating Arts Policy" starting from October 30 to gather on-site opinions regarding arts policy.
"Stories of Co-Creating Arts Policy" will be held every other week for about two months at venues such as Art Korea Lab and the House of Artists. Through these sessions, the ministry plans to present its planned arts policies in depth by topic and to broadly collect feedback from the arts community to inform policy design.
The first session on October 30 will discuss ways to expand the disclosure of individual performance records in the Performing Arts Integrated Information System and explore directions for the development of the performance industry based on data. Upcoming sessions will address topics such as the operation of the Seogye-dong Complex Cultural Facility, reforms to the Artist Service System, and strategies for promoting the traditional Korean music industry.
Anyone interested can participate in the event by registering through the ministry's website. Detailed information, including how to register, will be announced in advance for each session on the ministry's website and other channels.
Shin Eunhyang, Director of Arts Policy at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, stated, "This event is a platform for communication to listen to the vivid voices from the arts field and reflect them in policy," adding, "We look forward to the participation of many people interested in the sustainable development of fine arts and innovation in the arts sector."
