Artificial intelligence (AI) platform company Infinic announced that it operated its Wi-Fi-based mobile AI surveillance system, Auron, at the site of the '2025 Gimcheon Gimbap Festival' on October 25 and 26. The initiative aimed to minimize damage by enabling early detection of fires or fall accidents, even in outdoor locations where installing power sources or wired networks is difficult.

The Gimcheon Gimbap Festival is a signature event of Gimcheon, North Gyeongsang Province, inspired by the abbreviation 'Gimbap Cheonguk' (Gimbap Heaven) and the city's name. Last year, the festival attracted more than 100,000 visitors.

The surveillance system Auron is an intelligent CCTV video monitoring system independently developed by Infinic. It is a mobile package that can be quickly installed and operated anywhere via a Wi-Fi wireless network. The AI analyzes CCTV footage in real time to automatically detect and immediately notify monitoring personnel of abnormal behaviors such as fire, intrusion, loitering, or collapse. At this year's festival, the system focused on fire detection and fall accident prevention.

Through this collaboration, Gimcheon City aims to elevate the level of safety management at the festival, while Infinic plans to verify the on-site effectiveness and technological stability of Auron in the public safety monitoring sector. An Infinic representative stated, "We will continue to expand Auron into various fields, including smart cities, public safety, and disaster response."
